"When I
first signed up for personal training with Jesse I was already working
out and eating well, however, after losing 25 lbs., I reached a plateau.
After my first meeting, I learned several things that I could do better
or was doing incorrectly to maximize further fat loss. Since then, my
family and friends have taken note of my ongoing results and are amazed
as my physique continues to transform from loose and flabby to tight and
toned.
Although I have always been one to study nutrition and health, I had never realized that each of us is metabolically different. JD suggested that I complete the metabolic testing to maximize my efforts. I am happy to say that I did so about one month ago and now understand why not every diet works for everybody. I have also learned which foods work for my body type and which do not. Since implementing the metabolic diet into my training, I have been able to lose an additional 4 inches, and have experienced better energy levels and less mood swings. I would recommend Ultimate-U Fitness to anyone who wants to lose fat, gain muscle, or challenge themselves to get to the next fitness level. Jesse and JD truly care about their clients and helping them reach their goals."- Stephanie | ||||

Trainer's Comments: Stephanie is the strongest woman I have ever trained. As of this writing, she regularly leg presses 620 lbs. for 8-10 reps! Before she started training with me, she only ever did what most women do- about 100 lbs. Although she got stronger and lost inches, her body fat percentage and scale weight didn't budge much at first. However, she soon noticed her clothes fitted more loosely, and there was an obvious change in her physical appearance. The problem was, our body fat calipers only measure subcutaneous fat, which is the fat between the skin and the muscle. Stephanie had more intramuscular fat than most (probably because she is a very strong, muscular woman). The lesson is that different people store body fat in different ways. If we didn't do a full body composition analysis at regular intervals, including body fat measurement AND tape measurements, we would never have understood what was going on with Stephanie's body. -Jesse
